The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) is a science fiction and adventure film. Second installment of the Jurassic Park saga. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg. Jeff Goldblum, who repeats in the role of mathematician Ian Malcolm, heads a cast that Julianne Moore, Pete Postlethwaite and Vince Vaughn complete. Goldblum is the only actor in the successful first installment that is repeated in a leading role, although the film features Richard Attenborough cameos such as John Hammond and Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards as his grandchildren. The plot is set four years after the events of the original film and takes place on the fictional island Sorna, where the cloned dinosaurs created by the company InGen live in freedom. Hammond has news that his nephew wants to capture the animals and move them to the continent to exhibit them. Therefore, he decides to send a secret expedition led by Malcolm that arrives on the island before the team of his nephew. Both teams will find themselves in the middle of an extremely dangerous place and will have to try to survive under the prey of the fearsome prehistoric animals
