The film tells the story of how the team of investigative journalists of the Boston Globe uncovered the cases of pedophilia that were carried out for several decades by Catholic priests of Massachusetts and that the Archdiocese of Boston tried to hide, shaking the Catholic Church of the U.S. Oscar for Best Picture in year 2015.
