This performance was recorded live at the Independence Day Weekend Jazz Festival on Main Street in 1986. Scott Cossu's jazz and rhythm 'n blues influences, combined with his years of classical training and his study of ethnic music from Sudan, Thailand, China, Romania, and Ecuador, come together to create his own unique signature sound. Since 1981, Cossu has been performing concerts worldwide and composing/recording. Accompanied by his long-time collaborator, electric guitarist Van Manakas, and Eddie Wood on percussion, Cossu demonstrates several departures from the new age field with a melodic blend of jazz, classical, and ethnic influences.
