In 1949 Life magazine wonders if Pollock is the greatest living painter in the US. To get to Pollock's painting and be able to understand it, it is necessary to know some of its influences. This is one of the reasons for our documentary, as well as getting into the world of Abstract Expressionism. The critic Robert Coates wrote with discomfort in the New York Times about Pollock: "I can only say of such works (...), which seem to be a mere disorganized explosion of arbitrary energy and, therefore, devoid of meaning." Is it true? or, as Pollock himself said: "Anyone can be an artist".
