It seemed that the rain in the run-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix was going to put excitement and uncertainty into the race and that the two Mercedes might be exposed to attack from the rest of the grid. That was true to 50 per cent. Bottas failed, but the man on pole, Lewis Hamilton, did not make a single mistake and won the race, number 86 on his list. He also equalled Michael Schumacher's record of wins on the same circuit by winning for the eighth time at the Hungaroring track. He doubled everyone except for the men who accompanied him on the podium. It doesn't look like anyone can stop him.
