Martyrs is a horror film written and directed by Pascal Laugier released in 2008. The plot revolves around a young girl named Lucie (played by Jessie Pham) who escapes from an abandoned building, used to torture test subjects, where she had been mistreated. Lucie is admitted to an orphanage, where she befriends a young girl named Anna (Erika Scott). who discovers that Lucie believes that she is constantly being terrorized by a woman disfigured and covered in scars.
