Welcome to part 44 of this commentary playthrough of Final Fantasy VII. With the dramatic events of Disc 1 over, Cloud and co must pick themselves back up and continue the pursuit for Sephiroth. They find themselves at a mountaintop village, and will need to descend down the slopes to Gaea's Cliff in order to proceed. But first, they stumble across the house of Professor Gast, the man who "discovered" Aerith's mother, Ifalna, and wanted to learn more about the Cetra. But was their relationship all science?
