While they wait for their 50 year swell down at Bells for the CT comp, Uluwatu was copping it's 5 day swell. It wasn't a massive swell, certainly not ginormous, but it was still very very big. As is usually the case when it gets seriously big, there were no more than a dozen surfers scattered between the Bombie and Outside Corner. Conditions were super clean first thing and then a moderate offshore wind started blowing by mid morning, making for some very well shaped walls but I'm guessing it was also making paddling into them much more difficult. There were a few guys giving it a good go, especially at the Bombie. Hat's off to all of them ??
